The company CenturyLink decided to make a large investment to expand internet services in the south of the Florida and in Latin America.

CenturyLink is a company whose headquarters are in Miami and thanks to the new installation besides -of growing in Florida also pwill be able to cover the demand of the growing corporate services market in Latin America– they will even be able to provide service to Florida companies that have investments in that region, he explained tynmagazine.com.
With part of the investment made by CenturyLink, it incorporated a new network gateway, which will be used for manage the flow of internet and data traffic in the large global network of the company. It also acquired a state-of-the-art data center with maximum efficiency.
The company's General Manager for the South Florida area, Andre Rodríguez, stated, "CenturyLink is committed to providing our corporate and government customers with world-class technology and network services, this expansion allows us to increase our capacity in South Florida and in Latin America and position our clients at the forefront of the era of digital transformation.”
With regards to new gateway, Rodríguez highlighted, «it will contribute to the evolution and simplification of the product portfolio CenturyLink, as well as our vision to become the trusted connection to the networked world for our customers."
The new CenturyLink gateway will be located in a building of more than 9.000 m2, located in one of the highest points of Miami, it is approximately 1.6 km from a network access point, a place where different sections of the network are connected high-speed internet backbone, three long-distance fiber routes will also be linked there.
The gateway will also connect to nearby submarine docking stations, which are used to provide access to submarine communications cables, and to a large facility that provides service to Latin America.
The project started last May, the construction will be carried out in September.
