The plot of Eternals follows a group of cosmic heroes who have protected the Earth since the dawn of man. When monsters called Deviants return, the Eternals are forced to rally to defend humanity once more.
The Eternals cast includes stars such as Gemma Chan as Sersi, Richard Madden as Ikaris, Kumail Nanjiani as Kingo, Lia McHugh as Sprite, Brian Tyree Henry as Phastos, Lauren Ridloff as Makkari, Barry Keoghan as Druig, Don Lee as Gilgamesh and Kit Harington. as Dane Whitman, with Salma Hayek as Ajak and Angelina Jolie as Thena.
The film's arrival on Disney Plus comes 69 days after its November 5 theatrical release, relatively quickly compared to Marvel's Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, which hit the streaming service 71 days. after its theatrical release on September 3.
Eternals joins 13 other Marvel Cinematic Universe movies airing in IMAX Enhanced on Disney Plus, a feature that allows viewers to view select movies in an enlarged aspect ratio.
Why was it so fast on Disney Plus?
In recent months, the great mouse film company has been shelving Disney Plus release strategies for the day, especially after the company's legal dispute with Black Widow star Scarlett Johansson.
The Marvel actress filed a lawsuit against Marvel in July, arguing that Black Widow's simultaneous streaming premiere on Disney+ Premier Access breached her contract and sacrificed the film's box office potential.
Hopefully the relatively quick arrival of Eternals on Disney+ means things are running a bit better behind the scenes. At least there are no deviants to worry about in Hollywood.
