Great expectation for opening of Costco in Melbourne, Florida
Brevard County Costco fans can say goodbye to long drives west to their favorite membership warehouse. Costco will open a 148,000-square-foot warehouse Thursday, Dec. 9 at 4305 Pineda Causeway, about a quarter-mile west of Interstate 95.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony at 8 am will precede Costco's opening, said the store's general manager, Mike Sinanian.
Before the Melbourne location opened, the closest Costco was about 60 miles away in Winter Park or South Orlando.
“We are delighted to bring Costco's low warehouse prices to Melbourne residents,” said Sinanian. “They've been asking us to open here for a long time, and we've already had an impact on the local job market. We look forward to contributing to the community in many ways.”
Like other locations, the Melbourne warehouse will offer quality, branded and private label products. Costco helps businesses save money on supplies and items for resale, and offers a wide range of products and services for personal use.

It will also feature a headset, a food court, and beers, spirits, and wines.
The Melbourne location will have 230 employees, Sinanian said. The office hours will be from 10 am to 8:30 pm Monday through Friday, from 9:30 am to 6 pm Saturdays and from 10 am to 18 pm. Sunday.
