
On behalf of the 15 ports, the Executive Council of the Florida Ports Council and the Coordinator of Ports and Merchant Marine of Mexico will sign a Letter of Intent to promote international trade and economic development, in a ceremony to be held on Wednesday, November 20, open to the press.

The Coordinator of Ports and Merchant Marine is an agency of the Secretariat of Communications and Transportation of Mexico whose objectives are to strengthen the international development of ports, promote exports, trade and the Mexican market.
During the summer of this year, the Florida Ports Council and Enterprise Florida, with the support of the Consulate General of Mexico in Miami, led a delegation of port representatives that participated in a trade mission to Mexico City, in order to to promote maritime routes between the ports of Florida and Mexico, which led to the determination to sign a Letter of Intent.
